Description
Fremling's field notebook for 1989-1999 includes original research notes and drawings, trip descriptions, professional/research travel mileage, and expenses for reimbursement. Notes are dated May 10, 1989-July 7, 1999, written in pencil and ink. Multiple pages marked with unlabeled sticky notes. Business cards and receipts are filed loosely throughout. Pages are unnumbered. Some notes in a different handwriting, probably Arlayne Fremling's. Subjects covered include: Texas Marine Institute, Gulf of Mexico life, dolphins, Ixtoc oil spill (1979), Banff National Park, various hunting and fishing trips, local gardening and mushroom hunting, curly-leaf pondweed (P. crispus), fish counts and weir, duck counts, geese counts, Lake Winona, Boller Lake dam and water levels, Mobile Island studies, mayflies, Legislative Commission on Minnesota Resources (LCMR) meetings, UMRCC meetings, NASCO, and tree farms and sales. Special focus on Alaska trips (1989, 1995, 1999).
