About Institutional Repositories

OpenRiver is the institutional Repository for Winona State University. OpenRiver is coordinated by the Darrell W. Krueger Library. Our Institutional Repositories (IRs) works to bring together our University's research and creative output under one umbrella, with an aim to preserve and provide access to that research and creative endeavors. OpenRiver is showcases of our university's scholarly and creative works. In addition to WSU's collections we plan to selectively partner and collect items which provide context to the history of southeast Minnesota.

We believe the name of Winona State University's Institutional Repository, OpenRiver, reflects both the character and connection to our location on the banks of the Mississippi River.

IRs are an excellent vehicle for working papers or copies of published articles, conference papers, recordings, oral histories, open education resources, books, creative works, and more. Presentations, senior theses, and other works not published elsewhere can also be published in the IR. To learn more about Institutional Repositories, please visit the bepress IR research page.

Winona State University's OpenRiver Institutional Repository (IR)/Digital Collections are committed to providing equitable access to scholarship and resources for all users, including individuals with disabilities. If you encounter barriers when accessing repository content (such as documents, images, audio, or video), please contact us at [klarson@winona.edu] or [507.457.5367].
