The Winona Masonic Temple Drops Collection includes images of a larger number of images of the orginal scenic drops. The auditorium, in which the scenic drops were hung, was a fully outfitted stage for the use of the Scottish and York Rites. Documentation states these 98 scenic drops were installed when the building was built in 1909. There were "free-standing theatrical props and 98 hand-painted scenic drops. The drops were designed by Sosmanand Landis of Chicago, procured by M.C. Lilley and Company of Columbus, Ohio, and installed under the direction of Lilley's western representative, Bestor G. Brown of Wichita, Kansas. When grouped in various combinations, the individually numbered drops create 59 stage scenes." - National Register of Historic Places Registration form, 1990
