Abstract
Production of scholarly work is required for higher education faculty to achieve promotion and tenure, though often neglected is the journey and enjoyment toward these scholarship goals. The purpose of this article is to introduce a collaborative writing team approach which includes easily implemented methods for effective writing and promotes faculty contribution to various literature bases. The approach addresses: 1) critical conversations, 2) established writing time and norms, 3) timelines and accountability, and 4) organizational components. The approach can serve as the instruction faculty need to improve the scholarly writing process and to create a more supportive writing environment within academia.
