Volume 5, Issue 1 (2024) Living and Working in Educational Spaces: The Challenge to Survive and Thrive
Welcome to volume 5, issue 1 of the Journal of Advancing Education Practice (JAEP). The Spring 2024 theme for the Journal of Advancing Education Practice (JAEP) is Living and Working in Educational Spaces: The Challenge to Survive and Thrive.
As a practitioner-friendly academic journal, JAEP welcomes original research, opinions, reflections, perspectives, action research, practical strategies, and commentary that might improve the culture of education philosophy and practice. The theme of the Spring 2024 issue emerges from storied and current challenges educators and administrators, especially Black women, are experiencing in the increasingly threatening illiberal political climate where professors face ever-growing barriers to tenure, administrators are being demoted and released from their posts for manufactured infractions, still other leaders are contending with academic theft of their work, while remaining committed to the mission of providing a space for authentic education practice.
