Tonya Constantine

Tonya Constantine, Interim Chair, is Superintendent of Pine Island Public Schools in Pine Island, Minnesota. Prior to her role as superintendent, Tonya served as a high school principal, assistant principal at both middle and high school levels, secondary instructional coach, and elementary and middle school teacher. Tonya is an advocate for rural education and works to provide equity for all learners. She has a passion for personalized learning, the science of reading, and for creating systems which produce collaborative and critical thinkers by leaning into personal strengths. In addition to working towards her doctorate, Tonya enjoys professionally speaking on topics such as career pathways for students, and how schools really improve.
