    Description

Formal portrait of Edward Bolivar (E.B.) Drew (1827-1902), a prominent farmer from Minnesota City.  He served as the District 8 representative in the Minnesota House from 1875-1876 and 1879-1880 and was a member of the Education Committee in his first term.  The Winona Daily Republican has several instances of students and faculty visiting Mr. Drew's "fine place," or him attending Normal School events.  Drew's son, James S., graduated with the Class of 1883 and later taught agriculture at Cornell University.
