Photograph of part of a 1914 display of memorabilia related to the reopening of the First State Normal School in 1864 and its first principal, William F. Phelps. Phelps served as principal from 1864 to 1876. The display includes the Articles of Association of the Society of Arts, Science and Letters, commencement programs, a photo collage of Phelps and the faculty from 1874, and a portrait of Phelps in retirement. The photo does not include the entire display; parts are cut off.
