Abstract
The relationship between student-athletes and their coaches is dynamic and extends beyond sports performance. This connection holds significant implications for the mental health and overall well-being of student-athletes, shaping their experiences both on and off the court (Short, 2005). Coaches often serve as mentors, role models, and sources of support, influencing various aspects of athletes’ lives beyond their athletic endeavors (Burns, 2019). Understanding the intricacies of this relationship is crucial in addressing the mental health challenges that student-athletes may encounter throughout their academic and athletic journey.
