Carolyn Porter's memoir, Marcel's Letters, tells the story of Porter's discovery a treasure trove of old letters in an antique store in Stillwater, Mn. Though she could not read the letters, as they were written in French, Porter noticed they had been signed by a man named Marcel and written during WWII. Marcel's Letters is the story of Porter's quest to uncover this man's fate and her creation of the acclaimed P22 Marcel Script, immortalizing the man and his letters. Carolyn Porter is a graphic designer and founder of the company Porterfolio. She is the designer of the P22 Marcel Script, which won five awards, including the prestigious Certificate of Typographic Excellence. Marcel's Letters is a Paris Book Festival Winner.
