Each year the Winona State University (WSU) chemistry department faculty honor outstanding graduating chemistry majors with institutional and national awards.
- The WSU Outstanding Graduate Award recognizes outstanding graduating students as academic, professional, and social leaders in their field.
- The American Chemical Society (ACS) Outstanding Senior Award recognizes graduating chemistry majors who plan to have a career in chemistry or a closely related field.
- The American Institute of Chemists (AIC) Student Award honors outstanding seniors as well as post-baccalaureate and post-doctoral students majoring in chemistry, chemical engineering, or biochemistry. The award recognizes students’ demonstrated ability, leadership, and professional promise. Candidates are nominated and chosen by their faculty members.
