Description

Set of 8 black and white photographs and 18 black and white negatives in 1 envelope labeled "UMRRC paper negatives and prints." Negative sizes vary including: 35mm (3 x 4 cm), 6.5 x 9 cm, 9 x 12 cm, 10 x 12.5 cm, and 5 x 7 inches. Print sizes vary including: 4 x 6 inches, 5 x 7 inches, 6 x 8 inches, and 8 x 10 inches. Images show Lock and Dam no. 5 (Minneiska, Winona), beach/outdoor recreation, Indian Creek Marina, Waumandee, Blackberry Slough, and aerial and elevated views of the Mississippi River and surrounding area. One negative is a composite of multiple aerials positioned together. Images are negative or duplicate prints of others in the collection found in: 2011.003.0063, 2011.003.0074, and 2011.003.0076. May be duplicated elsewhere. Some images taken by Corps of Engineers, U.S. Engineer Office in St. Paul, MN. Others unattributed, some probably taken by Cal Fremling. Part of the Cal R. Fremling collection.
